i am looking into buying an new jetski. but i wanna do my research first. not sure what would suit my needs best.
heres what i would be doing/needing it for:
bay riding in new jersey
occasional ocean outings
i love jumping wakes but i am not doing tricks just a little catching air
the bay can be choppy a lot more then its ever calmer
i want something supercharged but dont wanna break the bank
i really like the black and orange of the gtr and rxt series.

any informative info would be awesome

i in the same boat you are i'm lookin at getting my first ski ad t sounds like you got the same ideas and needs that i do. I'm going straight for the GTR no questions asked. just cause it does everything you listed and it wont break the bank. its also the cheapest ski with a super charger.

i thought they were the s3 hull but i guess i was wrong. not to sure about hull splash cause i don't have mine yet. but I'll be getting a short sleeve wet suit anyways so it wont matter to much for me but hopefully some one that has one can shed some light on this. there is actually a video of some guy who bought the gtr running it full on a lake so you can kind of get an idea from that vid on splash.

wet suit wont help if your getting pelted in the face with spay... that stuff hurts, and stops you from seeing... but i doubt they would release a ski that spays that bad in any situation. if you get it before me let me know how it is

The S3 hull of the RXT is beast. You're talking about Barnegat Bay I'm guessing since your from NJ as well? That's where I ride. You will be fine with either an RXT or the GTR in my opinion. I rode a friend's new GTi in the bay on Sunday and I think the hull would suit you fine.

You may want to check out EastCoastPWC.net for more local riders and their opinions as well.

thanks. what years is that s3 hull on do you know? yes i ride barnegat bay/great bay. i wanna go out in the ocean more often but i just don't think i can trust my 96 as i have to replace at least 3 or 4 parts a season for the last two years. so i may end up going used just for the cost of a new one is so high. thanks for the info and the link ill check out east coast pwc tonight after work.

S3 (sports) hull is the way to go chops through the water well, trimmed up or down they handle surf well and you stay dryish only down side is its a long hull the T3 (turning) hull isn't so forgiving if you land in the surf turned the ski generally try's to go in that direction with or without you but is very responsive and shorter with crazy response I've got the 2011 wake pro 215 and it's a great all round ski loves the surf and open waters and handles every thing you can throw at it had it in 6 foot swell no drama just hang on and enjoy the air time

The s3 hull comes on which models? I don't think I am in tune enough to notice a difference in the turning.
