Thought it might be nice to let you brag about a fantastic deal you just made or vent about that seemingly great deal that went sour.
Just picked up a 95 sp which is cherry inside with great compression. Has clean title, like new trailer, lube, straps, new flush kit. The top is weathered - just the seat and hood. Body immaculate - no scrapes or damage whatsoever. Was sold because of bad electrical box, but ended up just needing a battery. Paid $350.

my recent score...

Last year, I found a 2001 GS that had been in an accident and bought the boat and a trailer for $100.00. Sold the boat for $600.00 for parts and kept the trailer. Was driving by an apartment complex and saw a ski in the parking lot, under a blue tarp, parked on some old tires...no trailer. Next day, saw an ad on Craigslist for a 2005 GTI listed @ $3,500.00. Called the guy and it was the same boat...!!! He got it in a trade and wasn't using it, he had never registered it in his name. It was covered with mold and mildew and looked pretty bad. He was moving out of the apartment and had to dump the boat. He lost the DESS key so I couldn't check compression and certainly couldn't test it. He said he didn't have the necessary paperwork to register or transfer the registration. We went back and forth and I bought it for $650.00. Picked it up with the trailer from my other trade and took it to the local dealer, had a new key made and found out the original bill of sale from the local DMV had the boat registration and info. on it so I was able to register it with no problems. Dealer was suprised the boat only had 42 hours on it ! I've been riding it all summer...had it on the river last night. It cleaned up beautifully and runs like a dream. Liked it so much I just picked up a 2003 GTI LE ($2,000.00, ...darn it...) with trailer with a blown starter. Just replaced the starter and hope to get it in the water before cold weather sets in...gotta' love Craigslist...!!!

Well if I must..... About 4 months ago a very wealthy friend of mine moved back to China. He called me up one day and asked if I liked jet skis and I said yes. He told me to come over and pick something up as a going away gift... Turned out to be two 2005 RXP SeaDoos!!! One had just about 6 hours and the other about 10.He Also gave my a floating dock for them and a new trailer!!! I took them to the shop and has the SC washers done and that's all I got into them..., he said enjoy them and sighned the titles over to me. Only catch is to have one ready for him to ride when he comes back to the states!!!

i had a moped i was trying to get rid of because i barly rode it any more. i have a 96gsx and i wanted to sell the moped to get a stand up jet ski. a friend of mine was trying to sell his yamaha waveraider 1100 tripple. he came over one day and wanted to ride the moped befor i sold it. he liked it and he said his son would love it but he did not have the money. i told him i would trade for his yamaha. he accepted the trade. he wanted $2500 for the jet ski. i asked $1300 for the moped and i had no bites. i think i made a preaty nice deal

WOW !!! Some very nice deals.... I just picked up a 1977 angler 21 ft center console with a sweet 1985 Johnson 175 with trailer for $800 !

I just picked up a 2001 SeaDoo GS for $900 & a 1996 SeaDoo GSX for $1050. Neither came with a trailer, but I got a new 2-place Karavan trailer for $1045. So I got $2995 into them.

The '01 SeaDoo GS had 105psi compression in the back cylinder, It ran decent but I decided to rebuilt the top 1/2 so I could have 2 that were in tip-top condition. The GSX has 150 PSI in both cylinders. So I got about $300 in the top end on the GS.

I don't know that it's the 'best' deal, but I feel it was a decent deal. I'm happy with them!
