i just got my first jet ski and since i am new to the owning a jet ski, i have a few questions;
1. what to do before and after hitting the water to better maintain the jet ski
i darin the water after every ride but do i need to flush the engine or turn it on after i take it out of the water
2. also i read that the oil need to be changed after 10 hrs , is that something i can do or it have to be done by the dealer? " the manual say to take to the dealer but i feel like i should be able to do it
any other comment or suggestion on what to do to maintain the jet is greatly appreciated it
thanks

Before you ride check your drain plugs, look for loose hoses, check coolant, check your drain plugs, then start up on water and warm up a bit to check oil. On a new ski ths might be a bit much. When you pull out drain plugs, check for extra water in the hull. And when you get home clean and dry the plastics, along with flushing water through it while running it for a bit. Again that isn't a huge deal on fresh water but not a bad idea. Also pull the seat, and let the engine dry out well.

The oil needs to be sucked from the motor and cranked a bit to get it all out, I had my dealer do it for 130 bucks, worth it in my eyes.
