what should the compression be on a 1993 seadoo xp?

I bought the seadoo a month ago and it has the 650cc motor in it. the guy i bought it off of says it was rebuilt a year ago. The compression is 150-155 both cylinders. What is the compression generally on a new top end?? thanks

i think a new topp end is like 155-160 but i could be wrong as long as they are both close to each other you should be fine both my skis have 140psi in both holes and i am doing great,

ok thanks Brandon32689! just wanted to make sure my top end was actually done like he says

150 is spec... 140 is good for an old engine... and 135 is getting toward the end of life. (but will run fine) Once you get to 130... the rings will go away quick, and the pistons will melt.


SO.... you have a fresh engine with 150.
