First I would like to thank all those for the help being provided. Well since my last issue. "Dirty carbs and bad gas". The boat runs great at mid to high acceleration but at cruise or wake speeds it starts to bog out stumble etc. after trying to cruise it doesn't want to accelerate at all until i shut it off and let it sit for a min or two. Help any ideas/solutions.:ack:

Sounds a little bit like it could possibly be pop-off pressure is too low. I had this problem when the dealer rebuilt mine. I went back over them myself and found pop-off was too low. The boat at wake speed would load up until you opened up the throttle. I set the pop-off where it was supposed to be and it cured the problem.

easy thing to check.

Yep... running very rich on the pilot circuit.

Low pop-off pressure, or the low needle is open way to far. (or the wrong pilot jet)

What did you do to fix the carbs? I was waiting to see them. Where they cleaned or replaced?

Dr Honda. I had the carbs cleaned and the jets checked. One filter was very dirty the other wasn't so bad. I don't think he checked the pop off pressure. How can I check/adjust. Thanks for your help. P.S. it runs great at first start and as long as I stay on half throttle or more.

From another thread. Or you can search. There are many threads with this

Pop off pressure - This term refers to the amount of fuel pressure needed to push the float needle valve away from it's sealing seat. Pop off pressure is checked with a hand pump that is fitted with an in line gage. The pump is connected to the fuel input fitting of the carb. The return line fitting is then sealed off with one finger while the pump pressurizes the float chamber. The pressure reached on the gauge when the needle gives way is called the pop off pressure. "Adjusting" the pop off pressure is discussed below. If you don't have a pop off pressure gauge, you should get one that has a gauge and pump capable of 30 psi. (Most Mikuni distributors carry them) At the beginning, it's only important to check that the needle holds the pressure back with no leaking up to the point where it pops cleanly away from the seat. Perform the pop off test several times to confirm the actual pop off pressure. Initial pop off pressures on round pump carbs should be between 8 - 12 psi. Initial pop off pressures on the square pump Mikuni and Kiehin carbs (unless otherwise specified) should be no less than 25 psi and no greater than 35 psi.
