Hello PWC Friends,

Last night I went out to the Mariana to pull my battery out and charge it. My seadoo had been sitting at docks since October. I had an unexpected massive knee surgery, so never got a chance to winterize it.

Well I found the hull had water and oil inside it. Maybe 1-2 inches. Trying to follow the hoses for an oil leak, I found this thing? What is it? It was at the bottom of the hull, covered in a oil/mold sludge. 20190425_205308.jpg

That is part of the bilge pump. It is the strainer that picks up the water then the hoses blow it out the back of the pump under vacuum.

It appears you have a little oil leak. Typically from either the rubber oil tank grommets or a leaking oil tank seam.
