What is red line on my boat?

I have noticed a few posts on 'red line' of various Seadoo boats. I was just wondering if I could be overworking my Sportster engine. Last weekend for example, I was regularly going full throttle and my RPMs were exceeding 7000 rpm with no (apparent) problem. Is this OK (I certainly want it to be OK :reddevil

Make sure it get's plenty of oil......

My 05 SCIC Sportster was between 7500-8000 RPMS today...Hit about 53 MPH

Since you have an LE... your red-line is 7200 rpm.


So... flat out, you should be seeing 7000 ~ 7100 RPM.

Thanks for the info - sounds like I'm OK - but I'll keep an eye out next time I am 'flat out'.
