what do these numbers mean?

Ok so i took off engine head to replace top end gasket orings because they were leaking water(95 seadoo xp 720 engine) and every thing looked good and clean but on top of pistons were these numbers 81,90 ELK0 2183 . Anybody know what these mean? does the 81,90 mean the diameter of piston in mm?

yes, piston size is 81.90mm, ELKO is the mfg of the piston, 2183 is the casting master number(I think).

ok so that means thhat this engine must be standard bore . the original bore is 82mm right?thanks for the quick response!

Yes, standard bore, stock pistons. Elko is a division of the Mahle Group, an Austrian OEM supplier for machined parts.
