What and where does this go? W/pics

Hey guys,

Anyone have an idea what this is and where it goes on my optimax 250 m2 jetdrive?

I think it's a cooling water hose with filter. By my research online it should thread in somewhere on the engine. However I can find a place to put it. When I know where it goes I'll clean it and thread it back in.

I found it just laying in the engine bay. The other end seems to be attached to the lower unit just above the inner hull.

Any help would be appreciated.

its the bilge siphon put it at the bottom of the bilge it sucks water out of the bulge when engine is running
