went for a afternoon blast with my brother was great 73 water

my 06 rxp takes off like the wear rin g is going it toped out at 6 mph on the guage I rode my bros 07 I got 70 would aworn ring not only cavitate at take off but also loose 5 pmh top end on a 215 rxp?
id think so /.
 
When they are bad, VERY poor out of the hole performance and you will lose top end speed as well.

See if the gap is wider than the width of a dime.
 
A wear ring is a lot like a clutch in a car. If it's slipping, you'll get a very poor hole shot. As you approach top end, you'll notice it's not as powerful as a like equipped Ski. Change the wear ring and look for a damaged impeller. You may have a new one, but a bad wear ring will alow shitty pieces to float through the wear ring and possibly damage the impeller. Look at the carbon seal while you have it apart. If there's ANY question about the carbon seal, just replace it. If you're in there already, it's pretty cheap practice to replace it.
 
I figured top end loss also with it what I sucked up once in my old gti wouldn't even move with that lumber in there
