water in engine

new to boating and got leak and filled engine compartment with water.Now thw motor will not turn over. could the pistons be full of water.

Pull the plugs immediately, and turn the engine over to get any water out. When you get the water out fire her up pronto. You dont want water in there for very long. That engine will start to corrode!

Need to find where the intrusion is coming from. Fill the engine compartment with water to where the driveshaft comes through the hull. If you see water coming out through the bottom of the ski,, then your driveshaft seals are leaking. If no water comes out. Drain it.

If you can get her to start. Put the hose on it. pull the seat, start her up. Turn the water on and look all over the exhaust system for leaks.
