Vts wires

I'm gonna run my ski for a little bit without vts hooked up. I disconnected the wire going into the black box but not sure if I need to disconnect the other one. It looks like it's running to the gauges and has the temp gauge tied into it. Can I leave this one plugged in?

I you just unplug the vts (assuming it's the 96xp in your profile), the main plug on the harness you're fine. No need to worry about going into the grey box and disconnecting stuff in there

Ya it is a 96 xp. Ok just wasnt sure if I needed to unplug both wires coming off of it.

Just follow the wires out of the vts and disconnect the plugs. I think there's 2 plugs? Not in front of my skis right now.

Yes there is two wires coming out of vts. One goes to the black box by the battery. I unplugged that one. But the other one goes up front and has a wire coming off of it going to the temp sensor on the head. If I unplug that one I'll lose my temp sensor also.
