vts question

bought a used xp and wondering if the vts is working. Should it work when ever battery is hooked up or does it have to be running? does key have to be on the button? when does it start working with the start up process?

the skis electrical system needs to be powered up for it to work
you can do this three ways
#1 start the ski up, make sure you run water to ski if running more than 40 seconds
#2 just put the lanyard on "the key" onto the post
#3 with the lanyard off, push the start stop button, this will energize the system for about 30 seconds

If its not working, check the fuse. You will need a Service Manual to answer the
many questions. It has Pics & easy to understand info.

took battery out and charged it by the time i went to put in the next day it was dead again guess its a bad cell it looks pretty old. Im gonna get a new battery and check fuses. ............
