So ive tried the whole connecting the motor to the battery thingy and the motor is fine. when i click the VTS arrows it makes a clicking noise but the motor doesn't work. I am stumped because the other wires that connect to the motor have power running through. I had some water inside the VTS box so thats really the only thing that could cause problems. I'm sure this problem has happened to someone else so please help!!!

I dont think the fuse is bad because it makes a clicking sound when I hit the VTS arrows and that shows that the power is doing something through the fuse. But I guess the water damage is the only thing that is wrong with it. Maybe someone could tell me what water in the black VTS box could do to it negatively. That rubber accordian boot on the VTS arm in the back of my boat has a hole in it and is all coroaded and that is most likely what let the water in.

The trim on my 97 SPX was doing the same thing....ended up having to replace the trim module (the black box where the trim motor sits). I had another problem with the trim a second time and assumed it was the module again.....turned out to be a blown fuse. So now I've got a new trim module sitting somewhere in my garage....I'd sell it to you if you're interested....and if that's what you need. Let me know.

Yeah well I guess I still need to check my fuse. I just assumed that the fuse is fine because when I hti the VTS buttons it makes a clicking noise like its doing something but maybe the fuse is still bad. Where exactly is the fuse located? I looked in that grey box with the other fuses but I havent seen any 7.5 amp fuses for the VTS. Is it in the black VTS box somewhere?
