I bought this used ski the vts did not work the motor was corrioded the relays click when the button is pushed in both directions i bought a new motor and installed it and the motor does not move when the button is pushed and the relay clicks any help would be great thanks.

The traces in the controller are probably roasted. Unfortunately, when the motor burns up, the fuse doesn't always burn out first. On the early VTS systems... the small copper traces on the relay board are smaller than the fuse, and they burn. If you are good with a dremel, and a soldering iron... it can be fixed.

Where is the vts module located and is there a way to bypass it? Or do i have to buy a new module? Also do you know what the price of the module usally run. Can i run the ski without the vts working? Thanks for all your help

Depending on what version you have... it should be in the VTS housing. You have to cut it open to get to the board.

Are there any write up's on this method? or could someone make a Do It YourSelf? What do you do with the "copper traces" do you resolder them? Would anyone have any images of what the "copper traces " look like and how to fix them? This is what mine is doing also, I would love to fix this problem.

My vts doesnt work either 96 spx mine was stuck with the prop in the down position. I took off the screw that holds the adjustment end on and turned the adj by hand then reconnected now the prop is almost at a level position, now this isnt the correct fix but it took the drag out of the ski while i wait to figure out where the problem is.

I've seen pictures in the past... but I don't remember where. (Sorry)

If you do a google search, you may find them.

I have searched. There are alot of threads but 100% of them are dead ends.

The answer most give you is this one. There is a write up about vts fix. here
http://www.sea-doo.net/techarticles/vts/index.html - which yes it explains but is not a fix. He just brags about how he fixed his for 35 buks..

The closes I have found was in another fourm.. I hate to post a url to another site but here it is.. also it is a dead end.

All im saying if someone wrote a step by step adding images also, they would get so many Views/hits just slap a addvertisment on there and could make money.

But for now this is not a option.
