Hey guys, here is a novel approach to installing a radio and not cuttin the boat up.
I took the cupholder infront of the throttles and adapted it so there is a 3 in tall piece of PVC pipe under a 1/2" thick piece of PVC sheet cut into a disc to fit perfectly into the top of the cup.
I screwed the radio bracket to the disc and cut a slice out of the rear to pass the wires down thru the cup into the electronic hookup area. The fuse caccoon sits down in the cupholder and can be pulled up past the slice if I need to access it.
It turned out real nice-I ran a 1/4 dia carriage bolt down thru the disc thru the pipe piece and thru the bottom of the cup holder. The entire mount will rotate for optimum viewing and it clears the throttles when in full up position.
The radio is right in front of me, the speaker is close and the boat is completely restorable to new condition by only replacing a removable cup holder.
I'll post some pics when I get my camera next to my pc.
