Vent Tube Connection & Gel-coat question..

Proud new owner of a 1995 SPI......Its in great shape...Have been cleaning it up inside and out....I have notice that there are two vent tube going out the sides of the hull (one I know if for the Fuel vent and the other (right side) is not connected to anythine? According to the parts catalog it just states "Vent Tube" and it looks like it goes to the battery. Just wondering if that is where it goes? There is no connection to the battery (its a new battery)? Did it connect to the original battery vent? or is there somewhere else it connects?

2nd question.. Can anyone recommend what to do and the minor scratches on the bottom of the hull? is there a good gelcoat that i can use?

Any help would truly be appreciated...

if the bottom isnt too bad just take some fine grit sandpaper and sand em out, the gelcoat is thick you can sand some and not hurt anything...

the other tube is the oil tank vent, i had the same thing when i bought mine!
