V-force reeds in 951 Di engine

Excuse me if I'm wrong, but weren't reeds only for carb models?
I remember on my sled I have reeds, but my friend's SDi doesn't.
If I'm wrong and there are reeds for DI models, then I'd suggest reading up around DooTalk. Plenty of threads there about reeds. Mind you they are for sled motors, but the 787 is the same as the 800 put in sleds. Same performance gains would happen on your 951.

you would still need reeds on a DI model. to stop air from going out the intake.
I run carbon tech reeds on my skis, but only if the OEM ones are worn out.
The throttle response feels crisper (quicker), but you have to REALLY, REALLY, be paying attention to notice/care.
the carbon tech ones are cheaper too (than OEM) I think.. so that factors in it as well.
if you engine is currently running fine... LEAVE IT ALONE.
DO NOT modify it.
it's not worth the time/hassle/cost/regret.
