Upholstery problem, 2007 GTX

The stitching in the upholstery on the seat came apart on my 2007 GTX.

I have not used any sprays or had anyone unusually heavy on the seat or done anything else that could have damaged it.

Have other people had this problem or did I just get defective upholstery?

I love my SeaDoo, but am very upset about this happening when it is quite new!
