Careful when removing the limiter. The Sea-Doo engineers expect the engine to be operated at 8,100 RPM max (on the pre 2016 models), so it's not only tuned that way, the materials and parts used in the engine are also designed for that maximum revs (e.g. the valve springs). Once you start unlocking the rev limiter, you may be opening the door to more maintenance and unexpected repair that the pros can handle, but you may not.
