anyone know what this black thing in my fingers is i believe it to be causing an open circut to ground? its got 3 wires going in and one goes to ground

Thank you for your comment. that does kinda make sense because the wiring diagram doesnt show anything. to me it looked like there was some kind of white electrical component in there. there no white wire going in there what could it be?
