Two questions about my new GTI ?

i just bought my first ski 2010 GTI SE 130 and just tried it for the first time. I have ridden allot of different skis over the years friends and rentals and I can't be 100% sure but never a three seater I don't think.

My first question is after my maybe 10 minute ride as it was getting dark and I pulled the ski back out on the trailer I took the seat off to make sure all was good and saw a little water in the bottom under the motor and drive shaft towards the rear. Now this could have been from the dealer winterizing it for the previous owner I guess last fall ? Is this a bit normal for a ski or should the engine compartment be dry as a bone ? As I said this was a quick ride and the ski not left in the water. I could not see any leaks or anything.

My second questions is do realize this is an entry level ski but I was a bit shocked at the lack of top speed. I can hit around 90-92 KM per hours so 55mph or so and that's it. But I even get that at half throttle. There is nothing more between half and full when it feels there should be ? Or am I just expecting too much from this ski ?

It's not that unusual to have a little water in there. Of course it depends on what you mean by a "little
water".... Were the plugs snug? In any respect to be sure, vacuum that water out and check next ride.

On the speed I think you're expecting too much. That's a lot of weight for a relatively small motor to
push. 55 is pretty darn good in my opinion. The GTI is the least powered 4 stroke not incl Spark that is.

Water gets in through the air intake vents, and sometimes through the seat. You're good on the water situation unless it starts to sink, then you've got a problem. For a GTI, 55mph sounds normal, and if you feel lack of power, it doesn't hurt to replace the plugs.

I get 55 mph Max on my 2011. I also get a little water in there. It's ok as long as it's not a lot of water

That extra half throttle is reserved for the big dogs like the RXTX and RXPX, lol. Most 130s will hit around 57 mph with a single rider and smooth water.

A little water in the hull is normal, lots of places it can come in. Very rarely do I see one bone dry. The bilge suction tubes will keep it pretty empty.
