I just replaced my impeller and wear ring. I was putting the IBR back in and noticed that two bolts, one on each side, will not tighten down tightly like my other machine. What should I do? These are the long ones on either side.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. Seems like you need to change the support frame on the inside where the nuts are model in plastic(crappy design!). Apparently seadoo have updated the frame with square nuts that should hold up better.

Seems like it's very easy to over tightening the bolts, you must torque to exactly the specified torque.

Thanks for the reply. I figured that. I didn't over torque them at all. They never got to a point that I could torque them. This was a used machine and I believe they were already like this. I thought about using blue Loc-Tite but then I may never get the bolts out again. The other option would be to just put a blob of silicone bridging the bolt head to the frame. Then again it may never come out...it didn't before.

Maybe I can drill into the housing and inject some JB Cold Weld or Super Glue to retain the nut in there? Is this fixable? What have other people done?

Hello? Can someone please help me?

You already have the answer. Replace the required parts.

I understand. I just didn't know if that part was a replaceable item or part of the hull body. I will try to find it in the breakout diagrams to order it. If someone knows the part number that would be appreciated :)

Google search Seadoo parts and you'll find all sorts of sites that list by year and model and
then down to part diagrams. Great info on-line for exact diagrams.

I assumed that it is a 2009 RXT iS 255.

Based on your description.... I think you need the LH and RH fixing plates. 268000133 (#6-7 includes new seal) and 268000135 (#10-11 includes new seal). You may also need to replace the seals for the support plates. 268000046 (#5) and 268000047 (#9).
