Finished the 717 rebuild for the GTS, finishing the first Challenger 717 rebuild and just decided to buy the whole second engine for Challenger cause it needed top and bottom rebuild.
My question is about the carb settings:
First Challenger engine has 1.5 needle valve with spec pop off.
The second carb has a 2.0 needle valve also spec pop off.
Should I replace one of the needle valves so they are the same pop off pressure?
Even though currently different size needle valves are within spec pressure.
So far I’ve been told that it was how they came, the 2.0 valve was on the engine further away from the feed?
Thanks!
