OK, just had the wake tower repaired in my new 2003 Sportster -- liked the boat and knew it was fixable - didn't fit the recall unfortunately for towers and didn't want to wait to have it looked at even if it did.
Talking to the guy fixing it who does a lot of wake tower repairs on the side , and he was saying that it is best to use the popup ski pylon than the wake for tubing. Too much force on the tower from the tube drag. He's seen some really stressed towers from tubing.
So, what is the opinion out there Seadoo owners?
Ski Pylon best for tubing? Sounds like you take splashes from the rope and the rope sits in the water all the time.
Wake fine for tubing? Like that the rope is out of the way more, but not so keen on the stress after one crack already.
Anywhere else you can attach the tube rope?
