Hi guys, I had a problem today with my 07 180 Challenger SE. I ran for about an hour towing a tube around the lake. I stopped to give the kids a break and when I went to go again the boat wouldn't move. I put it in forward and tried to accelerate, but all I got was a bad vibration and very little movement. The rpms were there but no acceleration. I had to put-put back to the dock and put my tail between my legs again with this boat. What do you guys think is going on???

Sounds like something got stuck in the impeller. Did you accidentally suck in part of the tow rope? Look under the boat into the intake grate and I am guessing you see something stuck in there.

There is a stick caught between the impeller and the wear ring. I had to have the pump taken off and the stick removed. Very expensive stick. I think I will frame it.

Read up here, yuo could have fixed it yourself for free in less than an hour. Worse case scenario you throw in a $40 wear ring.

You forgot to post the link. It was only $190 so I say that was a good day. The entire pump had to come off and while he was in there he fixed some old rope damage. Thanks.

IT is really easy. The entire pump coming off takes 15 minutes. There is a how to change your wear ring thread Doc posted recently that is very easy to follow. The ring is under 40 bucks.
