Trim Nozzle Mod

I have a spare trim nozzle for my 02 XP. i'm thinking of drilling a second hole in it, just below where the VTS rod meets it. (attaches).

this puts the motion part closer to the pivot point, allowing center to still be center, but allowing the trim to have more 'throw' up / down. i think that would make it even more fun on the water. to be able to jump higher / dive faster.

and hey, if it doesn't work, just put the rod back in the original hole...

anyone done this? it should work for any trim / VTS ski...

I personally don't see why it wouldn't work. You may get a ride you didn't bargain for but then again it may be a ride by the seat of your pants kinda thing. Let us know how it works if you decide to try it.

Hummmmmmm... I also have an extra and I love to modd stuff. Ill have to see what I may be able to come up with when I get home.

Try it out. Sounds like fun.

BUT... as you increase movement... you shorten your lever... so there will be more stress on the VTS drive. Since I've never watched the power load on that system... I don't know if it will make a difference or not. BUT... if you blow the fuse the first time out... you will know why.

Hi. Im new to this. But i have done a similar mod to both of my ski's. I just threaded the rod more that goes to the VTS. Then just adjusted it till the nozzle almost hits full up/down. They have been like that for years and i havent had a problem.
