I was wondering if I could use 5.3x12 tires and rims instead of the 4.8x12 tires and rims that came on my shore lander single ski trailer. I know the diff between them is only .5 of tread diff and I have a chance to pick up some 5.3x12 5 lugs on sale with rims and was wondering if anyone else has ran this size before. Thanks in advance!

I was running the 5.3 X 12 before I switched over to radial ST145R12 on my Shoreland'r trailer. One would think the extra .5 inch width is split equally on the rim, meaning only .25 inch difference to worry about rubbing. I personally think it will be just fine.

Ok thanks! Yep .25 isn't much at all.
