TPS adaption failure

Hi everybody this is my first post on here and I just want to say this forum has helped me out a bunch already.

I have a couple of rx di's. One of them runs great, one is a pain. Sounds like a typical di right?????

My issue is that I am getting an intermittent code p1103. Which points to tps adaption failure. I haven't been able to find much on this issue so I'm hoping someone can help me with diagnostics on this. I have a candoo programmer and have reset the tps. Still no change. Do I assume the sensor is bad or is it most likely something else? This ski also has troubles getting to high rpm (above 4000) Could this be related? When I look at the code on the candoo it says pto sensor and the book says mag sensor. Which one do I believe?

I have a 2001 rx di. When I look at them next i will ohm out the sensors. Could this problem be caused by a bad sensor? Everything in the service manual seems to point to something being loose or out of adjustment.

I ohmed both of the throttle position sensors. Everything is within spec. Any ideas on what to check next? Code keeps coming back. Doesn't stay active for very long. Usually by the time I get the can doo hooked up it's inactive.

Replaced tps and spark plugs. Now she runs like a champ.
