96 seadoo gtx sucked up a tow rope. Got it out and ran around the lake for a hour or so. Met up with some friends and parked it. Couple hours later noticedd it was sitting lower in the water then normal. Took the seat off and it had filled up with a ton of water. Did the rope bust a seal some where?

Is the carbon ring hard to replace? That is if the shaft isn't bent but the motor was not running and it was taking on water just sitting there while in the water

Its likely the carbone ring which you have to take the pump and driveshaft out to replace. its what is supposed to keep water from coming thru the driveshaft hole.
