Top speed of a '98 GTX Limited?

It has a brand new 951 engine, anyone have ideas regards to top speed?

My 97 gtx will do 55 mph with the wife and I. Mine has a 787 I believe

Likewise, our other one with a 787 does 55. But I was curious as this has the 951

Group K has them radared at 57-58 mph stock.

So you mean it can be customized to go faster? I know the mechanic put performance carbs on it.

Can you post a picture of these "performance" carbs? 951's don't take kindly to modifications and just replacing the carbs won't really do much.

I ddin't unpack it from the winter yet so I'd prefer to wait on the pic, but thats good to know about the 951s

60-63 at best. The Only mod to make to a 951 is a new prop. Solas Concord 15/20

it spins up faster than stock, but also let's go faster in chop, so in rougher water you may hookup better stock.

You'll gain some acceleration, and maybe 1-2 top end.

Else, stock is the only way to run a 951, and you'll get 10 years out of it or about 250 hours.

60-63 on an XP 951, I don't see getting that much out of the GTX with just an impeller.
