GTI----I know the top speed between 130 and 170 is only maybe....52 verse 55 mph. That is not much difference for me. I know you have more acceleration but that is not important to me. What is important is what is top speed if 2 average weight adults on the ski? Does the 170 hp perform much better than 130....in other words does the 3 mile an hour difference become 7-8 mph? Or does the difference stay around 3 mph?

If money it tight be the 130. If not enough, I believe it can be programmed to 170 for less than the initial markup. Otherwise just get the 170 and not worry about it.

I have the 170 and never tried topping it out with 2 adults and a 50lb dog, as our private lake likes to keep speed in check.

I have a 2021 GTI SE 170 in Melbourne, FL. My top speed with me at 220 lbs on flat water is 59 as shown on the dash. I don’t think I have seen 60. I recall my wife and I, on flat water and about 375 lbs total, I think we did 56 MPH on the St. John’s River. Hope that helps… I also have a 2007 GTI SE 155 that will still do 60 MPH as shown on its dash. The dash readouts are not 100% accurate and you should probably check speed with GPS. But I will say this - having a 2007 and 155 HP that will go as fast or 1 MPH faster than a 2021 170 HP ski, was… disappointing. I expected 60+ MPH on my 170. But still love it. And really love my 2007.
