Need to do a top end rebuilt on my 787 engine.
The motor is a SBT rebuilt.
Took the cylinders to machine shop this morning and guy tells me cylinders are already at 1.00mm oversize.
So I have these options:
-Resleeve and go with WSM pistons for around $400 (add ~$100 for ProX)
-Bore up to 1.25mm and get ProX Pistons for a total of approx. $300
What would you do?
He said if it was his cylinder he would go up to 1.25 since it's not that much of a difference.
I'm VERY limited with my budget so I want to go the cheapest route possible...but I also don't want to risk a engine failure.
