Top End/Bottom End

Can someone please give me a general breakdown of what constitutes the top end and the bottom end?

"Top End"....


That is all the parts related to the pistons. So... pistons, rings, cylinders, head, wrist pin and it's bearings.


"Bottom End"......


That refers to the crank section. So.... Crank, bearings, seals, RV gears, connecting rods, and their bearings. Also, a counter balance, and any other spinning part in the crank case.
