hey guys gonna get my used engine tomorrow but im wondering what the best way to time it is...im sure ill have to put the stator and RV together so what is the best way to time it properly...this is my first 720 engine since i was never a fan of them.. i know the 787 has to be timed electronically but i dont think the 720 does...any help is appreciated im basically starting from scratch with this engine

haha well at least i know not to send my engine to anybody on the forum to have it timed!!!!! LOL Im just kidding guys

also does anyone know the timing degrees for the 720 engine shop says 147 is that correct or is it 130

it's 147/65 on that engine. AND... you use a 159 degree RV.

The 587 uses the 130/65, and it uses a 147 degree RV.

Oh............. and don't give these guys crap about posting. I talked to you via PM on how to do it. (Geeezz)

no not yet it was about 1/2 hour away last time i checked the status so its probubly at my house now and im stuck at work... This is ridiculous but last night i called the nearest dealership to me to get a timing wheel and the exhaust manifold gaskets and the cheapest they would give them to me was $20 dollars a piece for the 3 gaskets then another $20 for the timing wheel...which by the way was opened and had been used before so that will be going back after im done with it ....i cant believe they would give me a used timing wheel and for that price..should have ordered the gaskest from SBT but i wanna ride saturday and they would not be here till sat afternooon ...this engine is going in TONITE LOL

Just checked the status ........its there ..they left it at the front door ......ahhh im suddenly feeling sick lol gotta go home boss lol ...seriously though i might go home...

I don't have a plastic degree wheel because, I've broken 2 of them. (when in my tool box) So... now, I just print off a new one every time I need one.

If you need a PDF of a seadoo wheel... Post your email, and I'll send it to you. When you print it, make sure you turn off the scaling.
