Thrust washer & bearing

Hey guys, installed a new jet pump recently. New bearings and all. Got to reading and got paranoid so here I am. What are signs of a pinched bearing? Took a bit of force to put my cone on but my impeller is spinning freely. Should I be good?

If the bearing is pinched the impeller will be very hard if not impossible to turn by hand.

What year ski as most pumps will be hard to turn but the older pumps with the smaller thrust bearing will spin free and when it's under a l8ad will destroy the pump.so when you spin it pull as much as you can and spin the impellar

I have replaced a few pumps last year and realized the thrust washer that comes in the rebuild pack is not the same size as the oem, its actually a touch larger. When I put the pump back together the prop would be extremely difficult to spin if not spin at all. I had no choice but to clean up the old thrust washer and use that. It doesn't seem like they get much wear. I have spoken with shop where I buy the kit from and they had known about the problem already and were supposedly fixing it. I think they get the parts from another place. Btw, the skis were from 98-02 951's.
