Hey I have the opportunity to pick up a pretty nice 04 Gti RFI with low hours, I was just wondering if anyone on here has any experience with one and what they thought of it. Thanks in advance!!
I've not heard anything bad, however as a shade tree mechanic I would prefer a ski with carburetors. If you're comfortable working on a fuel injected ski, and the price is right, go for it.
As Lou said... they are good skis... but if you are going to do survive yourself... the RFI system is a little hard to deal with, and it can get very expensive to replace parts on.
If there are no modifications to the ski... take it for a test ride, and if it runs well... and the price is right... buy it.
