I was looking those pics over before I read the description and was thinking "great to see a nice gen 1 GT getting appreciated". Then I could not help but notice the setting and was going to ask because it looks so much like my river. Sure enough it's the Suwannee.

I have a house there near the music park in Live Oak. I live 4 hours away but usually get over there and ride about once a month. I have a 90 2-seater over there that is a friend and family favorite.

Great feeling is it not?...took me a year of resto from the bare hull to get to this point. Pic of the Lake Oliver/Harding dam in Columbus GA. I need to visit the Suwannee river someday..

I have a brand new 4-tec 2018 and an old 2003 GTI 2-stroke and some days I am still trying to determine which one I like the most. There are some way older skis on my lake and each time I look at them I wish I had one of these. Early 90s skis had a very distinctive look: steep front and flat seats but they seem quit agreeable to ride. How far can you ride on this river?

I am keeping my 2003 as my avatar for the time being...

You can ride quite a ways in the Suwannee. I can only get a little over an hour out of a tank of fuel. I've still got quite a bit of work to do this winter, but for now I'm just enjoying the ride. I've wanted any ski for many years, but the GT was the one I grew up wanting the most. This hobby is like any other, find the one that you want and enjoy. Y'all be safe, and enjoy the ride. Matt, maybe we can get together and ride sometime.

You bet. These are 2 RX's of my friends and a long range X4 on the Suwannee, all built by me. We usually run between White Springs and Ellaville. I just finished a "grey Ghost" (97.5 GSX) for myself that I'm looking forward to putting some time on out there. IMG_8812.jpg

Couldn’t agree more. Makes it all worthwhile.
