The small drain in the "cooler" and near the seats on the floor...

Where does all that drain to?

does it go out the boat, or does it go into the boat and rely on the bilge to get all of the water out?

Depending on what seadoo you own...you should list you seadoo model and year, in you avatar so we don't have to guess on what you own...Use mine as an example. Usually the cooler will drain into the Hull of the boat, and the drain by the rear seats goes out the drain hose in the transom out the scupper valve.

You should still add it to you avatar for future questions. The same information I posted still applies. :)

Has anyone had trouble with their cooler getting clogged? My cooler won't drain water. I've checked in the ski locker where I think the cooler would drain to, but can't see anything. I'm not sure how to find out what may be clogging the cooler.

Algae?...

Brian, it's usually algae growth the ends up stopping it up. What I did with mine and do it now and then, is to take a water hose without the nozzle on it. Hold it up tight to the drain plug area and have someone turn it on. That should blow it clear, unless you've had something fall into it like a rock or bottle cap.

You are right, it does drain into the bottom of the ski locker..........

Try "snaking" it. I did to make sure mine wasn't clogged at all. Wasn't sure what the previous owner may have put in there. Water runs right down no issues.

I'm a new 2004 Sportster owner too...I was wondering if there is supposed to be some sort of insert or plug or something in the cooler? Mine just has a little hole. I put a piece of tap on it last time...but was wondering if there is something special that goes in there?

I wouldn't cover it up, it is meant/designed to drain, so, if you use it as a cooler and you ice melts, you don't end up with a small pond in there :-)

Fixed!

I got the drain fixed. It turns out my boat was never equipped with a drain hole. There was a hole in the cooler, but it did not go to the ski locker. After looking extensively in the ski locker where there *should* be a hole coming from the cooler I determined that there was none. So I just used an extra long drill bit to poke through the styrofoam between the cooler and the ski locker. Now it drains the way it should. Thanks all for your help.
