Hey guys I'm looking into purchasing a 750 GSX seadoo. How fast do these models go? Are they reliable? Ive never owned a seadoo before but I have ridden them a couple times and think its time to get my own.
well its a GSX anyways it says on the side, the guy told me it was a 750cc he might have had it wrong, from what I'm finding on google these models accully had 782cc of displacement. Are these nice machines?
how much would you value these? the seadoo itself is in MINT condition the hull and body almost look like it was only used very lightly. It also comes with a newer trailer. The store is asking $2900 CANADIAN for it. Is this too much? I don't want to get ripped off
it does come with a trailer in excellent shape. I can't remember if he said it was a 97 to a 98(I had just gotten off nightshift when I went to look at it) But it as well is in excellent condition, hull and body in near mint shape. appears to have been used very lightly. Here is a picture of it, if it helps you to identify the year more correctly.
Looks nice in the photo. Any idea how many hours are on it? Have you water tested it? Have you checked the compression? The price you mention sounds a little high to me.
it is not a 97 or a 98 it is a 96.
how does it run? the biggest question would be what is the compression on the engine?
spend $25 and get a compression tester, it takes 5 minutes and it will be the best indication the the condition of the engine. 150 psi on each cylinder is perfect
also, there is a meter on the digital info center that will tell you how many hours are on it.
oh and to asnwer your first question,, that model does not have a speedo stock, but I have the exact ski and also a 97 GSX which is basically identical. the speedo on my 97 hits 63 on flat water, I've never measured it with a gps to get an accurate reading. The ski is alot of fun to ride.
It is a very reliable ski as long as you maintain it. it you arent a mechanic you will become one very quickly
If it still has gray fuel lines the very first thing you will have to do is replace the fuel lines and clean the carbs
Yep, my brother Jake is right he's got one too, it's a 96, like the one in my avatar, it's somewhere behind Sheridan, so I've been told. I just got back from the lake from riding the same ski. It's a great all around ski, very fast, a hot rod, I know you can't believe the speedometers but I had mine pegged today, it goes to 70.
I'm buying the seadoo from a marine shop, and they have it going into the shop to be checked over and tested. I will be taking it out for a spin once that is done. I am fairly mechanically inclined, I can rebuild both hydraulic and gear jammer style diamond drills and do all my own work to my trucks. I don't think ill have a problem working on the seadoo
