Hey guys. I have a 2000 Speedster and the last time it was in the water it was taking on water from somewhere. I suspect it is coming in around the exhausts.

Have any of you changed the gaskets out on those before? How difficult is it? Our marina indicated that it might be a big job and I am looking to not spend a fortune to fix this as.

Thanks

Had to do mine this spring...

I had to change mine out, I was taking in a ton of water in the exhaust seals launching the boat or when swimming off platform. I won't lie its a pain in the ass, download the manual as there is pretty good instructions on replacing them (wish i had've checked manual before i started). Just make sure to use quality RTV sealant and not cheap silicone.

I would recommend this as a DIY job for sure!

Ok thanks man. I have been checking through some of the manuals here but I am unable to find the instructions on how to change it. Any idea what manual that is in?

Yes it is the merc. Just bought the boat a month ago and I have had to do some little repairs to it here and there but been great for the most part except for this issue.
