Been tuning my rebuilt carbs and realized I do not know if I'm reading my tachometers the right way. Never gave it much thought till I paged the idle limiter at 3000 rpm and tach needle fell on the dot between the 3 and 4. So is the dot 3000 rpm mark or is it 3500?

dot = 500

dot = 1500

and so on...right?!?!?

I could go out a buy a hand held tach but a forum post is much cheaper.

Oh good I am not nuts.

So 500 over rev limit is it. Justification to buy a hand held tachometer! I love new toys!
