Tach Problem - 96 Challengersingle engine

Just picked up boat, only problem is the indicator needle on the tach is hanging out of the gauge.

Can the gauge be removed and then pop the needle back on the shaft or does the tach have to be replaced?

If replacement is needed, any ideas where to pick one up ( saw one on ebay for $250 but seemed pricey for a small gauge like that)

Thank you

A lot of times you can use a tach. from another model, the indicator lights may be different, ie: oil, temp, gen. warning. Try contacting Nick, minnetonka4me a member on this forum, he may have the one you need or at least one that will work. He's a good guy and his prices as a lot less than EBay.

I looked up the part nos. Since your profile lists a 97 challenger the part no. is 24470019, for a 96 challenger the part no. is 278000744.
