I am going to pull my SC off of my 2003 GTX Supercharged to get rebuilt. I was watching the video and it says depending on the year you will need an E8 torx socket or 8mm socket as well as a 6mm hex box or 8mm box. Which ones does the 03 have? Are there any other differences I should be aware of?

I just took a look an it seems a decent amount different. I could be wrong but it looks like it might be raiser to get to. Also looks like hex unfortunately, lol. Hopefully I can find one at the hardware store.

I used a nut driver and a combination wrench. It wasn't perfect but it got the job done. Nut driver on the bottom two and gear wrench on the top one worked best. I think 1/4 inch. I considered replacing the bolts with traditional hex heads but I didn't. It would probably be easy to find a fastener store to match the thread pitch though.

OK, I got the 3 mounting bolts out. I can spin the whole thing in place, but its not budging outward. Any tips on getting it off safely. Is there anything I can spray on it that won't damage the engine?

I got that figured out. Now my issue is with the damn T clamp. How does this thing work? The nut is completely loosened and the clamp doesn't budge.

Spray some penetrating oil like WD-40 or something similar on it. After you loosen the nut almost all the way you have to pinch it back together until you can get the "T" part from underneath the lip that holds it when you tighten the clamp. Then you should be able to get it off.

How do I pinch it together? I can't get the thing to do anything.

It is seized up is all. Get some Raster Blaster on it and let it soak. Then you can tap on the threaded end of the rod with a block of wood so that you don't hurt the threads. This will drive the "T" toward the other side of the clamp and allow the strap to loosen up.

So it was very stuck. I tried soaking it and hammering it and it was not having it. I said screw it and cut the damn thing off. So... I need a new one, lol. I found a bunch on eBay, but not the exact model. The one I have is R.G. Ray Corp 50429-1. Do I just need a certain size? Any idea what one I need?

I did a search and found the manufacturer. Looks like you can buy direct from them and I bet you can find a local seller..

I found a bunch of them, I just wasn't 100% sure because the model numbers are all a little different. I couldn't find the exact clamp. I found some 50421-1, but not the 50429-1. Ill probably just have to measure it and get one that is the same size.

I found the part number in the parts catalog 274 000 959. You can order it from Sea Doo, but its $43. I also found some used ones on ebay that were still fairly expensive. Do you think there is a major difference between this

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Seadoo Biggest difference I see is $15.35!

I ended up picking one up from westsidepowersports.com. They were awesome and a good price.

I thought you guys might find this interesting. I coated the clamp really good in PB Blaster to see if it would come apart eventually. It still wouldn't budge, so i pushed the threaded part out with a bench vice. It did come out, but I don't think there would be a chance in hell of doing it while it was still installed.
