Is this the most comprehensive rebuild for a stock supercharger? Going to rebuild a 2008 255 & saw this part (kit) listed in the BRP part diagram. Coastiejoe mentioned an updated kit with the steel washers & a larger (better?) shaft.

BRP rebuild kit number #420881102

Thanks, 68Rt

Thank you for the Reply!

So, is this kit the best thing to use in a rebuild & what you use as well? What You offer looks like an incredible value without any question! By the time I order the kit & buy the tools, its no doubt a better value to use your service.

I buy my seadoo's as part of my mechanical hobby & enjoy the challenge of stuff like this. The superchargers look like a very intricate design, but not too overly complicated from an assembly standpoint from what I see. I was planing on buying the tools & going through it myself, as I will probably have more of these skis in the future. However, I am not sure where to find the specs on them yet. I also know that rebuilding stuff like this is a recipe for disaster without the proper tools & information so I am still doing research. Sure not trying to take away a sale & service from you, & if I was just a Sunday mechanic, there is positively no question having this hired out would be the only way to go.

Yes, using the proper tools is key. We do use the OEM Sea-Doo rebuild kit and DO NOT suggest using an aftermarket kits to rebuild your SCs. Let us know if you decide to order the kit and service.. You'd pull it and send it over. We rebuild it and send back within a few days. You pay for shipping upon purchase too so after you send it over you are all set.

Pulled the SC this afternoon & was surprised to see metal washers. This is a virgin 2008 RXPX I thought it should have had ceramic? It spins free & quiet with .0025" of axial play.

This normal?

There was some blue/green assembly grease on the mating surfaces
between the cover & SC if that means anything at all.

For some reason I thought it was 09 only. I am a noob on the SC's ;)

Is there a spec for axial play? Also, it takes 105+/- Inch Lbs to break the clutch loose. Is there a spec on that as well?

greg, are you guys also offering to upgrade as well?? after this season ill most likely need a rebuild but I would like to toss in an et127 wheel at the same time...

Yes we can do this at the time of a rebuild!

You're within spec on that one. Under 88 and it's out of spec.

Does kit 420881102 have the same parts my 08 has now, or are there some other type of improvements to it? I assume the rebuild is as much about the bearings as it is about the clutch?

There have been updates to the kit over the years, including bearings and washer materials/coatings. And yes on the bearings.
