I hate your soul.
lol
Gotta stash the nuts for winter
I need a winter project, so I'm fixing up my generator...
it idles poorly unless you give it some choke, then it's all smooth
I did new plugs, new fuel filter, fresh fuel, and thanks to eBay have new air filters on their way.
But, I have a hunch I'll find the issue in the carb(s).
It's a V twin, so I assume it's dual carb, but I can only see one without taking the top off... But Maybe twin carb is only something you do when squeezing 130HP from 947cc
My biggers concern is taking it apart, then waiting for parts... and THEN the damn power goes out.... RIGHT?!
I pulled the center support bearing from my 2000 XP last night.
it actually wasn't that hard. I went to grease it over the summer and the seal just slid right out! I said... well, I can either fix it or wait till winter.
i waited, no issues. It actually looks like I could just replace the seal, but I ordered a whole new assembly from OSD... whatever
Also found where my 'extra' jet pump seal came from.. lol THIS ski. No wonder my buddy beat me on take off from idle.
I still had a higher top end though!
Also, I may pull the carbs as even though I cleaned them out, and couldn't find any issues, it bogs on launch... maybe the fuel pump.
or i could throw new ones on it, but that seems like over kill... what to do what to do.
with so much free time?!
Ohh I know... I need 1,700 sq ft of drywall!
who wants to hang drywall on a 15' ceiling with me?! c'mon it will be fun.
Also, I have no ladder.
I do actually have a ladder, but when I drywall it, won't be able to support the ladder from the ground to change light bulbs... hmmm
Guess I need a lift or something? Let's hope I don't have to change light bulbs!
