Summer is coming back!!!!

Hey there everybody.

Not sure how the weather is in your area but the signs that winter is starting to loose it's grip up here have started. Still a long way from getting on the water but after a year of all the covid messing up life it's going to be nice to see some sun, feel some warmth and stir up some water.

Anyone have any projects or great rides planned?

Left the snow behind in denver and headed to Mexico. Thought I might rent a couple jet skis for the lady and myself but these crazy SOB's want $91 dollar per ski per hour. So we settled for a moped and have just been hanging out on the beach dreaming of getting back to my skis, only problem is we are expecting 3-5 ft of snow around when I get back .

Well, I rode my sled down the trail to hop on the river and go for a run.

Two days ago there was ice.

Today there was ice on the edges, the middle was water.

Rode home and put the charger on the XP battery!

The Baja ran and all was well when I put it away, the XP is running great, gf's GTX is ready to get a motor hucked in it, then I can start working on my SPX (pile of parts sitting in the corner of the garage for it). That's the only thing that might not make it out this year.

Woke up yesterday planning to drop the motor back in my xp. Got caught up dealing with some other stuff and never got around to it.

Woke up this morning planning to drop the motor back in the xp.. looked outside and the xp is covered in 6 inches of snow .

It's 72 today, 3-5 inches predicted tomorrow night. The whole lake effect snow thing off of Erie sucks sometimes

All the snow melted immediately. Got up to 78 today and took the opportunity to drop the motor in the xp. Glad to have that out of the way and can start focusing on hitting the lake soon!

It snowed here today, low of 27... looks like I can turn on water to my shop Monday. No longer gets below 32!

Somedays I miss the ski's though
Other days I can cruise at 45 in 2' chop. On a ski.. that gets painful after the first 20 miles

I hear that. Our little lake gets to capacity at 300 boats. Add high winds and you get surprisingly big waves that are coming in multiple directions.

My GTX can handle it alright but there is days the XP beats the crap out of you.

On a different note we are taking the ski's out for the first time this season today. The water is still pretty cold but we have a high of 80 and will be nice and sunny

its Cherry Creek Reservoir. ive also spent a lot of time on Chatfield which is a nice lake but cherry creek is smoother
