So yesterday I was coming back to the launch racing daylight to get back in time when let's just say through an interesting series of events I ended up 100 yards behind my sea-doo. I swam back to it got on and put my key in and its screaming at me with an engine message and oil-temp light? Was flashing. I had this happen once before when riding for a long time pulling the key and sitting and talking to someone for a while. so I pull the key and sit on back pushing the exhaust down into the water for a min or so plug the key back in same deal. I pulled the seat cover, no visible problems. So I start the engine and let it sit for a second and the light and the beep go off. And sea-doo comes back up on the display...so I pull the key and let it sit a second, and the put the keu back on. No errors or beeps just the standard double beep. I fire it up and it runs smooth and fine. I'm guessing its just the going from WOT to engine off doesn't give it time to cool itself? Someone suggested that to me as well. I checked it again at the launch when i got it on the trailer, and no warnings, or problems. Fired right up. Hoping someone can chime in since I'm new to these machines. I asked my dealer about it and he indicated that my assesment of not having time to cool by the engine just shutting off even though the ski is still moving. He's the one that suggested starting it back up and letting it run for 30 sec and seeing if the the alarm doestn clear once the temps come down. The engine compartment was really warm when I pulled the seat up.
