Ok I am not sure if I am making progress or falling behind. As I said before my 1996 Challenger boat still will not start. Here is what I have tried so far remember I just picked up the boat used 3 days ago. The guy I bought it from said he just put in a new started and battery. He also said he had it running after the install. When I got it home it would not start. The battery is fine and you can hear the starter engage and sometimes rolls the engine once but it will not start. I took the starter out, cleaned up the brushes and reinstalled it. Nothing. I replaced all the wires coming from the battery. I also see that I have a fuse in the electrical box that keeps blowing. Its the 15A charging system fuse. I try to replace it and as soon as I plug it in it blows. I have looked for a bad ground and have replaces every wire that even looked like it was bad. I had the starter tested and its fine. Today I took out the plugs. They looked good. While they were out I tried to crank the engine. It cranked real fast. (spraying gas all over my truck) I reinstalled the plugs and now it cranks great just will not start. I have to admit when I was trying to start it I did use my charger on the boost setting. Have I fried anything? What can I try to test for spark. This thing is making me nuts. I am starting to like dry land more and more. Help
