Steering cable recomindations??

i broke my steering cable for my 1996 seadoo GSX 787 only 2 days after iput it in. what would be the best cable to buy? i bought mine from SBT i do not underestand why it keeps breaking.

Lucky You! Our local certified guy tried 6 times to put on a new cable, both sea doo and aftermarket. All broke at the rear threads. Final outcome was that I bought a second (donor) ski ($350) and used the cable, ball joint and steering nozzle from the donor. In comparing mine with the donor I found that the hole that the ball joint bolt went thru on the stearing nozzle was worn a tiny amount and also the ball joint had separated from the bolt that goes thru it. those were the only 2 variances that I could find. We are up and running with parts to spare!

i ended up finding out that the upper threads that screw intothe bracket that goes into the steering "wheel" i tightened that way to tight not leaving it enough play to go toall the different angles when steering it.
